Brayards and Stanbury Space is a cross between a community garden and neighbourhood front room for Peckham and Nunhead.

Our aims

Our aims are to:

• Grow our community
• Provide an outdoor living space
• Demonstrate and foster sustainability practices
• Develop skills in our community
• Support the physical and mental health of our neighbourhood
• Build a greater understanding of food, land and nature

The space

BaSS has two main areas. In the sunshine, we have the community garden where we grow produce. It’s a bit like an allotment, except everyone chips in and everyone shares the crops. On the other side, in the dappled shade, we have our social space, with lots of room to gather and move around.
